Please reach us at contact@phisigusc.org if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Phi Sigma Kappa or Phi Sig for short, is a men's social and academic fraternity at the University of Southern California. With all of us having a drive for a longtime friendship and fun throughout college. You can learn more about us through the "About" page.
The Short answer is Yes! We require active brothers to maintain a minimum GPA and have programs in place for advancing our education and opportunity, such as study hours, academic incentive, and an Alumni Mentorship, which includes CEOs, Executives, Doctors, Lawyers, Investors, etc.
We have two types of membership in our undergrad chapter, "Initiated Brothers" and "Junior Associates" or commonly known as pledges. Both memberships enjoy a long lasting time of friendship, support, and fun! Junior Associates become Initiated Brothers once they complete the new member education process, where they learn about and bond with the Chapter and the Brothers.
We are not associated with the University in a traditional sense. Phi Sigma Kappa is united with most of the USC social Fraternities, by being apart of University Park Interfraternity Council (UPIFC).
Our Chapter strictly prohibits hazing of any kind, which includes physical, mental, or alcohol hazing. Any type of hazing is prohibited by our chapter and the Grand Chapter of Phi Sigma Kappa. Additionally, it is unlawful under State of California law.
